Fifteen years. Complete discretion.

Jonathan Riley is a performance psychologist and confidential support specialist based in Melbourne.

The story behind this work

Fifteen years ago I started noticing a pattern no one in my field was naming directly. The most accomplished professionals I worked with were not struggling despite their success. They were struggling because of it. Not burnout. Something more specific. A nervous system so adapted to sustained pressure it no longer registered as distress. It registered as Tuesday.

Lawyers who had stopped being curious. Surgeons who had stopped being present. Executives whose families were living with someone quietly shaped by years of survival mode. None of them came describing that. They came describing sleep problems, relationship friction, a feeling they could not name.

My Practice exists because conventional support cannot safely reach the people who most need it. I work privately, confidentially, and almost entirely by referral, with lawyers, doctors, and executives whose stakes are too high for conventional options.

If you have been sent here by someone who trusts me, you are in the right place.

Jonathan Riley

Founder

I have spent fifteen years working privately with lawyers, doctors, and executives in situations conventional support cannot safely reach. My background spans counselling, performance psychology, leadership strategy, nervous system work, sleep science, and family therapy. I work across all of it because the people I work with do not have separate problems. They have one interconnected pattern that touches every part of their life, and it requires someone who can hold all of it at once.

My work sits at the intersection of physiology, psychology, and professional performance. Where most practitioners address one dimension, I work across three simultaneously: the nervous system underneath the performance, the psychology sustaining the pattern, and the professional and personal cost accumulating beneath the surface. This breadth comes from fifteen years of working privately with people whose stakes were too high for conventional support and whose lives could not wait for a twelve week program.

I work with a small number of people at any given time. If something on this page has resonated with you, a private enquiry is the right next step.
